Hello readers, It's Satyam here again, but not with news today. Sometimes I bring you some special content that you already have for free but aren't using. So you are excited about some other types of content that you have but haven't used yet?
But before, if you haven't read my previous blog about the Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Yojna and about the use of Google Lens(opens in new tab), then you should read that also because that is one of the best things that are available for your benefit but you haven't used it yet.
[Image Source: Google]So you must have thought that this Google Chrome is making my PC very slow, and whenever I open this app, my PC gets stuck, and blah blah blah. But have you ever wondered why this app takes up so much space when other browsers are fine to use? It lags, but it is a browser.
That's the point; it's a browser with a lot of features we're not aware of. One of the best uses of Chrome is that we don't have to remember all of our websites' usernames and passwords because the Chrome browser will do that for us. Did you know that? If not, then read this whole blog because this blog is very different from other blogs.
Please leave a comment if you want to know more about Google Chrome's features, but today I will discuss one of them, which is Chrome Extensions.
Chrome Extensions
Google's Chrome browser is one of the most widely used web browsers. This browser is used by millions of people across the world every day. Chrome extensions can be used to improve the functionality of this browser.
That sign in the corner you always see on Google Chrome is for the extension in the URL bar.
If anyone is aware of this, there are hundreds of questions about this Chrome extension, but I can tell you that this feature is provided by Chrome under Google and is mostly useful, but it also includes third-party software, so you should be cautious. But some of the basic questions are there, which I can answer.
1. How do Chrome extensions work?
This is every user's first question: how to install, how to use, and other related questions that Google has already answered. So I won't make this blog boring by describing it, and instead, you can go to the Google official page where they provided a very good answer by clicking here (open in a new tab).
2. Are Chrome extensions safe?
Chrome extensions are similar to apps in the Google Play Store and are available through the Chrome Web Store(open in a new tab) where you can download any types of extensions from there as per the use and steps best described in the above-described link, and the best apps I will describe below.
Returning to the original question, is it safe? As I previously stated, some extensions are provided by the officials' party, while others are provided by a third party. Officials are completely safe, just like using WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, or Google Chrome, but third parties are always a risk, and it is up to you to avoid them.
Some third parties are also good and beneficial because they do the work well, but some do collect your data, so be cautious of unofficial extensions and applications. Simply put, its app is provided by a third-party application. So sometimes it can be risky, but sometimes it can also be useful, but I will never recommend you use any of these third-party services.
[Image Source: Google]3. Can Chrome extension to access the file system?
It depends only on the user to determine which extension he or she is downloading. and security has an advanced level these days, so before accessing the file, they always ask for permission. and if you gave them permission, they will obviously access the file; if you haven't granted them permission, then this extension will never be able to access the file.
So it was the question of safety, and I think I answered that in a very good way. Please send any additional questions to my email or leave them in the comment box.
4. Are Chrome extensions free?
As previously stated, it is similar to an app from the Play Store in that it can be free or paid, depending on the party providing it and the use of it.
Personally, I don't remember, and I rarely paid for any app or extension, so I can say that for normal usage, it will be free unless you are a professional or have lots of money to spend.
However, please specify which app you paid a lot for, or for which you have a subscription. I currently have a subscription to Disney+ Hotstar, but that is only for live cricket.
Moving to the last question, this is the main topic for today's blog.
5. Which Chrome extension must I have?
It also depends on your work; if you are a blogger, you should instal the SEO Pro extension, Grammarly, e.t.c.; there are many extensions for booking a ticket from train to aeroplane or placing an order on Flipkart or Amazon. If you want to know more, mention that in the section below, and I will try to solve each and every problem of yours.
With hundreds of thousands of Chrome extensions available today, selecting the proper ones for your browser may be difficult, but I will share 5 extensions that are useful to any of us.
The most effective Chrome Extensions
So let's start by describing each and every one for your convenience.

If your English is poor and you are embarrassed to write your content, now is the time to begin your journey. Nowadays, AI has advanced to a very advanced level, and the same is true for this: AI will assist us in writing your content without grammar errors.
[Image Source: Google]
I have done an internship as a technical blogger under a VLSI Master, and there they are more dependent on AI than humans for this type of error because AI seems to be more accurate than us, so you can also start to write from here if you haven't heard of this. You can check my technical blog by clicking on VLSI master, and that will only boost my hobby of writing blogs.
And if you are a content writer, then you already know about the Grammarly application, which is available for Android, Windows, or Mac.
Grammarly's communication support, which includes spell check, grammar check, punctuation check, and more, may help you improve your writing.
Grammarly for Chrome provides real-time suggestions to help you write better online, regardless of what you're doing in your browser.
Grammarly is more than simply a proofreader because it provides detailed criticism on spelling, grammar, punctuation, clarity, and writing style. It's a tool for writing with confidence, finding the ideal words to describe yourself, and communicating your thoughts with ease.

These are some of the free features, and I believe they are sufficient to get started.- a grammar and spelling checker;
- punctuation checker;
- tone detector;
- auto-citations
3. Checker Plus for Gmail
These are some of the extensions designed specifically for professionals, but they can be used by anyone and make life much easier. It works more like an email notification in that you can read the entire message without having to open real Gmail in a new tab.
Checker Plus for Gmail is a quick and simple solution for organisations and individuals that need to check their emails without having to open their Gmail app.
By glancing at the extension's button on their Chrome toolbar, users may see how many emails they have received. You may also choose how you want to receive alerts. Users have the option of receiving pop-ups, chime notifications, and even having a portion of their email read aloud.

5. AdBlock
As the name implies, it removes ads from YouTube, Facebook, or any other webpage while surfing the internet, and this is the best extension that I always have installed on all of my computers. I'm writing about it last, but it should be first.
[Image Source: Google]
Are you tired of seeing ads on sites while watching movies on the internet from different sites? or while booking tickets on IRCTC? Or have you mistakenly clicked on vulgar content that appeared on the side of webpages? Leave a comment if something similar or worse has happened to you, and I will now suggest a way to avoid it.
I've had enough of these advertisements, and the seniors at my college have only suggested this extension. and I will suggest you read about this. You don't need a YouTube premium membership because this adblocker handles that as well as removing ads from YouTube videos.
Ads and pop-ups on YouTube, Facebook, Twitch, and other websites can be blocked. With over 60 million users, AdBlock is the finest ad blocker and one of the most popular Chrome extensions, with over 350 million downloads. And I will suggest one more for YouTube, which is Adblock for YouTube.
[Image Source: Google]And this content will be a little lengthy because there are a lot of features, and I want to cover as many as possible.
Spotlights for Adblock:
- Block pop-ups, advertising, and obnoxious banners on YouTube, Facebook, Twitch, and all your favourite sites (including video commercials!)
- Protect your privacy by disabling third-party trackers.
- Browse safely by blocking harmful advertising that include malware, frauds, and cryptocurrency miners. improve website load times and user experience.
