Is an iPad a game shift for Windows or Android?

Hi there! From the last blog, I have discussed the smartphone that I used personally and used only as a primary phone, and I shared all the things that I like to share about this and all the things, so I am using the iPad Pro with the M1 chip, and I like to discuss that also because that is also a good device, which I chose, and I have no regrets.

I believe that sharing experience is essential, and I look forward to engaging with all of you. Feel free to ask anything related to technology, gadgets, or any tips you might need!

So these are a few questions that were contributed by me and answered by me too, but I will be really glad to see any comments appreciating, improving, or discussing any technology because I am a technology person, and if you are reading this, you are too interested in that, so let's give a blow to that.

1. How has the M1 chip transformed your iPad Pro experience compared to previous versions or other devices?

I did not own any Android tablet or iPad before that, but I have used 2 to 3 tablets before of Samsung and Lenovo, and I used the iPad 8th gen of my friend, so I will start from there.

That iPad chip was the A12 Bionic chip or like that, but the M1 really changed the game, and it is like out of the league of all the Android tablets, or you can say that these iPad Pros with M-series chips are making out of league with their own old devices because the performance is boosted in a very good way.

I used an Android tablet before that and after this also, but being an Android tablet gives us many freedoms, like using many things, and one of the best examples is to install a mod app, which is not recommended, but if you have no extra money in your pocket, then it is okay. Jokes aside, Android is limited in some ways. I use a Samsung S9 tablet, which my friend bought, and after 1 year of using it, I felt it was laggy, and the optimization in that is really good, but not like the iPad, and it really felt limited, and yes, I will say the weight of that tablet is somehow heavy, which I don't like.

In this tablet, the processing is good, and it feels like new only using it now also after 3 years, comparing it to the device that I used in the mall, which is seriously new, and I don't feel much lag in my iPad.

Multitasking and speed are what you will expect from a 1 lakh device, and it will not make you sad about it after a long use, also because I played Genshin Impact for like 1 month continuously on this, and I never felt screen freezing or something like that; however, battery drain is even at that moment when the device got heated up.

And talking about the efficiency, it's like, Ohhhhhhh, great! I used to go to my workplace out of town for like a month, and sometimes I left my device at home, and when I returned, I used to have 23 percent battery left in my iPad, and I got seriously amazed that, wow, is it true? So battery backup is like a wow thing in this device, and I always get surprised after using this.

and compared to the laptop, I am using Windows, and I am not able to replace my Windows PC with this iPad, but yes, it can replace it if I work for productivity like photography or editing videos or photos, but I am in the profession of coding and decoding, so the iPad in that field is not much helpful. But yes, I used the iPad on a regular basis for updating email, online shopping, social sites, gaming, and many more. Yes, I will not be able to replace my laptop with this, but yes, it is a great device and far better than an Android tablet.

2. What apps or workflows do you find work best on the iPad Pro (M1), and how does it support productivity or creativity?

As I said, I am not much into creativity, but yes, I used to sketch and all from my childhood, but I want to answer this from there.

I used many apps for editing photos and videos, and I also tried to make photos from different apps because the main reason for buying the iPad for me is that only to make a digital, but yes, currently I am not creating that, but yes, those apps are still installed, and I tried, so I will share the experience.

Firstly, I used Collanote because when I bought this, I was a student, and I told my parents to buy this, and I would prepare for BPSC exams, and seriously, I prepared, but I wasn't able to prepare continuously for a year. It was like a 2- to 3-month pattern type from 3 years, and I never gave the exam like a serious candidate, so I am ending this topic.

Coming back to top Collanote This is an app in the app store that is free to make notes, and they also give a subscription feature to use some of the features, but yes, basic features are free that are usually not free in the app store, which has a good rating. and for the basic feature, I will say it is like having infinite pages and a notebook for notes. I used this app. Which app are you using for taking notes? Please share in the comments.

I added like a 1 GB PDF also and edited that and also made long notes on history (till medieval only) of about 1 GB, but I never felt lag or hang or screen freeze. Sometimes it takes time to load the notes after opening for a very long time, but yes, that is not hang or screen freeze because you can easily swipe or switch over apps during that loading time, but it is not that long; it is like 3 sec maximum, but yes, for that time being, you can also switch apps.

I used Sketchbook because it also provides many basic facilities for free, and I have maxed out drawing a 6-layer photo, and that was also a great experience, which I mean is lag-free, and you can check my Instagram for a few digital arts for that @justklik_23.

A few other apps that I am currently using are Lightroom for editing photos and Paper app, which gives only three sheets. I think so, to use it for free, and many brushes are also locked in that, but yes, I used that, and I felt if I had a subscription to that, it would be a great experience.

A few more apps, which include 6 to 7 OTT apps and two Swiggy and Zomato for ordering foods and Amazon and Flipkart for shopping and Gmail and Outlook for official work and Google Photos and Drive for viewing old photos from the library on a big screen and 2 browsers, Google Chrome and Brave, based on the experience I used, but currently I am like addicted to using the Samsung browser on my phone because it gives the feature of an adblocker, which is great to use in that and a few other apps like Telegram, Instagram, Teams, Physics Wall, and two to three games, including Genshin Impact, Real Cricket, and FIFA.

3. How has the iPad Pro’s display and design influenced your experience?

The liquid retina display is very good, and it's like an AMOLED display is comparable to this, but yes, I applied a 500-rupee tempered glass on this, which makes it more reflective, whereas the brightness is at the level, and colors are also very punchy and more to the natural device, and I really love to binge over this because the sound performance is nevertheless compared to any of the devices available in the market, and that makes the binge-watching experience the very best in its own way.

Whereas if I compare this to my Samsung S23 display, I will prefer my smartphone, but then this big screen with massive sound is a great combination on his device at this price.

60Hz is the main problem of the iPhone series of basic models, but in this 120Hz, like amazing, it will never make you feel like that using the old technology, and I always felt updated because of the update provided by iOS till now. I already said that the Samsung tablet somehow felt heavy, so of course this device is very slim and very light to use, and I never got tired after using this device that I used to feel my POCO smartphone because this iPad is very slim and very lightweight.

Big screens make the binge-watching more interesting, while playing games on a big screen size and sound experience gives another level of experience. I have done gaming, editing, and drawing, and I really felt another level of experience, and I never felt lag or hanging problems yet, and the brightness level and color accuracy also are very great in this device.

4. Do you use any accessories (like the Apple Pencil 2, Magic Keyboard, or others), and how do they elevate your usage of the iPad Pro?

I got this device from my parents, and with many times asking for that, I know where to ask for a 10k rupee pencil and cover, and their cleaning clothes are also costly compared to that. My dresses are also not that much costly.

I used a pencil of some company like Kingpin type. I don't recognize the real name, but yes, I used one pencil with type C charging and one with the wireless one. Both gave a good experience, and all the things were working, and after-sales service of that company is very good, because I used that, and I will give a 5-star rating for that pencil that I used.

This pencil cost me around 2.5k rupees, and I am always tension-free about charging the pencil, and the second thing I faced a problem with that type C pencil is that it has a touch button to make it its own, so it really turned off in the middle of using it, but in this they gave a button on the top for on and off, so that problem is also gone away. Coming back to this pencil, pressure sensitivity is working very well, and the tilting function is also working well, and that button has multifunctional attachments to it, like minimizing and choosing over apps, so yeah, that pencil is a good package.

I used 2 covers on my pad, one of which is very heavy but very protective and made of full leather, but it is more of a plastic type, and I don't know, but in that Apple logo is not visible, so I bought another cover in which the Apple logo is visible and very lightweight. But yes, in the previous cover, there are two levels, and one is very handy, but there is no way of placing it on the table, and I really want to buy a keyboard combo cover for my iPad.

I used the Apple Pencil, and that really gives another level of experience, but comparing it to this pencil, it is like less than 50 percent, but yes, there is no complaint to this pencil from my side.

5. What limitations or challenges have you faced while using the iPad Pro (M1), and how do you work around them?

some cons of the iPad are mostly related to iOS, I will say

Downloading is such a pain in iOS, and if it is very complex, downloading from Telegram is not saving in the gallery, and downloading PDFs and using them in Collanote is also very difficult if you come from an Android history, so I really will say to them to upgrade this.

And comparing to Android, many things you will feel that can be achievable but not ready in iOS, and I don't know their marketing strategy, but I will say if they are in such a top level, so that marketing strategy we need to salute.

Compared to Android, downloading and uploading is very easy; sharing screens in Windows or using it as a second screen is also very easy, and many apps with advanced features are also free, but in this basic feature, we also have to pay. Many apps are very optimized, but basic apps like Instagram are not optimized, whereas for WhatsApp you have to use web WhatsApp, so for more realistic use, they need to upgrade in iOS to make it more user-friendly.

The screen size and ratio are perfect for the person who is using this for productivity, but it is not good for entertainment, so I have no complaints about that, but yes, it depends on personal choice, and I will recommend the Xiaomi new tablet for entertainment or the Samsung tablet also for entertainment.

And during one of my interview processes, they clearly mentioned that no Mac or iOS device was allowed, whereas I was giving the interview from home, so I don't know why. But yeah, I have to say that if you are a creator and using it for productivity, it is the best device, but other than this, it is not much of use compared to Android and Windows, and it can't replace Windows.

That's all from my side, and I will be really happy to see comments, and if you want to answer any of the questions that I included, you are free to comment in the comment box.
